The students of the Business Academy attended lectures and workshops with our former student Nikola Sekerešová, who is currently the UN Youth Delegate for Slovakia.
She presented her activities to her former classmates and tried to motivate them to responsible education and activity in her own community. Finally, the students tested their knowledge through a Kahoot quiz. The best also received nice gifts.
The main goal of her lecture was to present the 2030 Agenda, which the UN. The United Nations 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development is by far the most comprehensive set of global priorities for achieving sustainable development. The agenda contains 17 goals of sustainable development, which have the ambition to guide the structural political, economic and social transformation of individual countries of the world in response to the threats facing humanity today.
The Agenda also focuses to a large extent on the environment. In Slovakia, it focuses on the following areas: climate change, water, biodiversity protection, protection and sustainable use of natural resources and waste management, sustainable consumption and production, especially with an overlap with the circular economy policy and green growth.
These are topics that are very closely related to the school project implemented under the Sk-Climate program.
